Beautiful elegant, large French mahogany roll top desk cylinder bureau late Louis XVI. The flamed mahagony roll-top opening reveals a sliding writing surface covered with original cognac leather. The bureau is surmounted with a row of three drawers and a rectangular marble top surrounded by a pierced brass gallery.
The inner desk is equipped with a nest of shelves and drawers in the background and a work surface in the foreground. A quarter-circle curtain slides to allow the desk to be closed.
The bureau contains five drawers, one of which containing a secret case, in the front and three drawers inside. The bureau is beautifully decorated with brass inlay, handles and keys and has squared legs.
